Mamlatdar and Deputy Mamlatdar demanded bribe for soil work on Vadodara-Mumbai Express Highway.
The work on Vadodara-Mumbai Express Highway is underway. The complainant working on the highway had sought the opinion of Padra Mamlatdar for excavation of soil. G.D. Baria and Deputy Mamlatdar (Administration) K. J. Pargi demanded a bribe of Rs 1 lakh to give a positive opinion for the soil.
The complainant did not want to pay a bribe, so he contacted Vadodara Rural ACB and lodged a complaint against Mamlatdar and Deputy Mamlatdar. Based on the complaint, the Vadodara Rural ACB had laid a trap at the Padra Mamlatdar’s office. As soon as the complainant came out after giving the bribe the ACB team already positioned there caught both the officers red-handed with the bribe money.
The ACB team arrested both the officers and brought them to Vadodara ACB and further action is underway in this matter.
According to the information, the ACB team searched the residences of both the officers. Currently, ACB registered the case against both the officials.
