Administration takes stringent steps against COVID-19

The administration is working swiftly and is taking steps to increase the bed capacity and other related facilities in dedicated COVID hospitals in Vadodara. OSD Dr Vinod Rao had a meeting with all the doctors and officers at Gotri Hospital and reviewed the situation.
Patients will be admitted on the 5th floor from today onwards. From August 1, the 6th floor will be ready to use and the dome structure will have 100 bed with full-fledged ICU. As a part of the proactive COVID Management Plan, a total of 500 Beds facility with 125 bed ICU will be ready from tomorrow. Today, 186 COVID positive patients have been admitted to Gotri Hospital out of which 46 are in the ICU.

Dr Rao visited SSG Hospital later and had a meeting with the new Medical Superintendent and the entire team along with Administrator and Advisor. The Trauma Ward will get upgraded with more Oxygen points, the Surgery Ward with 35 beds is already functional. The Pediatric Ward will be shifted to the 2nd Floor of Trauma Building and a 56-bed ICU will be created there.

Total of 324 patients admitted in SSG Hospital including 37 patients in ICU and about 45 Suspected patients. Asymptomatic patients from among Central Jail inmates will be shifted today to COVID Care Center at Lalbagh Atithi Gruh.
