Dr. Vinod Rao, Officer on Special Duty and Education Secretary held a meeting with District Collector, District Development Officer, Chief District Health Officer, and District Epidemic Control Officer and got detailed information about the pre-preparations for covid vaccination in rural areas of the district.
He said that very detailed and meticulous planning has been done to put the corona vaccine in the rural areas of the district. The preparedness will be tested by holding a dry run once more on Friday.
Dr. Vinod Rao visited Urban Primary Health Center at Gorwa and inspected the dry run for COVID Vaccination.
Yesterday evening, he took a review of planning and preparedness for COVID vaccination in the City. The Municipal Commissioner and team VMC has done excellent micro-planning for vaccination across 205 identified centers. About 17,000 Healthcare Workers will receive the first round of vaccination, followed by about 20,000 frontline workers. About 3,00,000 persons who are either comorbid or above 50 years of age have been identified for subsequent rounds of vaccination. Training of vaccinators and other staff involved has also been undertaken and cold chain management planning is undertaken.
