Following the installation of sensor machines for measuring 24-hour weather pollution in large cities such as Delhi, an exercise to install these sensor machines in Vadodara, Gujarat, was carried out. According to municipal censorship data, the most polluted areas in Vadodara today are Ataladra and Kalali.
“The citizen breathes down low, while the machines to measure how much-polluted air the citizens of the city are taking in their breath, have been placed on a higher altitude,” says Health Reporter, Vadodara.
“To determine how much-polluted air the city’s residents are breathing, it also makes little sense if after the pollution is measured, no attempt is being done to eliminate it. The Municipality Committee should go forward and publish pollution statistics daily to notify the residents of the area about the level of pollution in their area,” says Rohit Prajapati, an environmental worker.
The Municipality Committee has set up air quality check-points and censors at Bapod, Jambua, Makarpura, Gorwa in Vadodara.
