A 10-day recruitment rally has been started by the Indian Air Force in the Makarpura Air Force area, amidst a Coronavirus scare. It has been organized for the selection of human resources as per qualification in the Airman category. The local police are also cooperating with the IAF in the recruitment rally.
The initial recruitment process was conducted online and the candidates who were compatible with the qualifications, online call letters were sent to them. Eligible candidates from all the districts of the state and from Diu, Daman and Dadra, and Nagar Haveli Union Territories have been invited for the day-to-day phased recruitment process from 23rd to 4th October 2020, except for two holidays.
For the first time, such a mega session of Air Force Recruitment has been organized in the time of COVID 19 in Vadodara city. The recruitment process starts at 5 am with the registration of the candidates and verification of the documents coming with a call letter.
The candidates are admitted only if they have the ability to absorb oxygen through pulse oximeter and body temperature with a thermal gun as part of Corona care. Food packets are also arranged for the candidates by maintaining all the social distancing rules.
Out of 10000 online applications by young people, 1577 candidates are selected who appeared to meet the primary qualifications of the IAF. The call letters were sent to them online by the Air Force.
Out of these, about 150 candidates have been informed to be present with date, time, and time every day. The candidates first appeared in written tests and the successful ones then go through rigorous tests of physical fitness. Candidates who are successful in both are eligible for the final selection of medical examination.
