An allopathic physician practicing without a valid degree arrested from the Makarpura area

• A bogus allopathic doctor practicing without any legitimate degree got arrested. Vadodara Special Operations Group (SOG) team seized allopathic drugs and other items from his possession.

In the Makarpura region of Vadodara, the SOG team discovered a bogus allopathic doctor working without a recognized degree. On December 27th, the SOG team got information about Vishnu Devprasad Kushwaha. Vishnu, operating as an allopathic doctor without any legitimate degree at shop no. 32 in Mahalakshmi Nagar, behind Makarpura bus terminal. He is conducting this hospital out of an open-air shop and dispensing medications to the public.

The team seized medical instruments, allopathy medicines, doctor books, and other materials before filing a case against him. 

The team, accompanied by a medical officer, raids the location based on this information. Vishnu Kushwaha, who was operating an illegal clinic without a valid degree and was endangering people’s lives, revealed, that he studied in Bihar till completing his 12th grade. He got accepted into the Council Of Electro Homeopathic System and Medicine, where he received a certificate after completing the course and taking the exam from home. Even though the research was not acknowledged by the council, he opened the hospital without a license and practiced without a formal degree for the previous four years.

A case against Kushwaha got lodged under various sections of IPC and the Indian Medical Council Act 1956 Section 15 and Gujarat Medical Practitioner Act 1963 Section 30 and 33, and handed him over to the Makarpura Police Station for further investigation.
