The Consul General of Sweden, Anna Lekvall visited the Federation of Gujarat Industries (FGI) Business Centre for an interactive meeting with the FGI Managing Committee. Kamal Bali, Chairperson, Sweden Chamber of Commerce India, and President and Managing Director, Volvo Group India also accompanied her during the visit.
During the meeting, many business and investment opportunities available between Gujarat and Sweden were discussed. She explained the business environment available in Sweden and how the country has evolved to be one of the most important trade partners for India in Europe. She mentioned how several Swedish multinational companies have made India their home and several are looking for business opportunities to enter the Indian subcontinent and may even consider Gujarat as their destination in India.
Kamal Bali stressed the way the Swedish Chamber of Commerce India has been the hand holder and two-way partner of Swedish and Indian Companies and how they can partner with FGI for exploring business opportunities for Gujarat based companies in Sweden and vice versa. Several interesting sectors such as ceramics, glass, industrial design, automobiles and mobility, tourism were brainstormed upon during the interactive meeting.
During the meeting, the Consul General was appraised about the investor friendly policies of Gujarat and the welcoming and industry supporting culture of Vadodara through a brief presentation by Premal Dave, Secretary-General, FGI.
FGI was represented by Manohar Chawla, President, Atul Patel, Past President, Dr. Ajay Ranka, Former Managing Committee Member, Sameer Khera, Managing Committee Member, and Premal Dave, Secretary-General, FGI.
