Vadodara is known for its art and artists. Artist and studio potter Anju Pawar who runs Pot-Tree Ceramic Studio near the city have planned Art Haat at her studio this year too.
Art Haat is a venture that proposes to bring together art and craft, offering artists and craftists on the same platform to showcase their unusual creations. The participants works are made from unusual materials such as glass, plastic, cotton beads, wood, wire, ceramic, paper and so on.
Art Haat as the name goes, is like a village mela, organised as little stalls sprawled in the open space that forms part of Anju’s studio set in the beautiful rural environs of Samiyala, just on the outskirts of Vadodara.
Art Haat is a large-scale marketplace event, featuring many of the best indian artists, craft designers and makers around. Art Haat, which is the first venture of its kind in Vadodara. will open at 10am on Saturday, Dec.15th, at Pot-Tree Ceramic Studio
Art Haat 2011 had 27 participants and we had about 6000+ visitors in two days.
