Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav: Check the Highlights of Narendra Modi’s Speech on 75th Independence Day

The 75th Independence Day of India is been celebrated as a festival all over India, with the Harr Ghar Tiranga campaign and releasing a song for the campaign, people are enthusiastically celebrating by unfurling tiranga at their homes and offices. There have been several tiranga yatras organized by various organizations to celebrate the occasion.

But, as people are celebrating the festival, PM Narendra Modi touched upon his vision of the nation while addressing a huge audience at Red Fort, New Delhi, and unfurling the national flag. Here are some interesting keywords he used to convey his message in 82 minutes:

‘Nari Shakti’

He talked about the dignity of women which shall be respected at any cost. Listing out five pledges to fulfill freedom fighters’ dream for India, he said “it’s important that in speech and conduct, we do nothing that lowers the dignity of women”. Respect for women is an important pillar of India’s growth, the PM said, adding that we need to support our ‘Nari Shakti’.

‘Viksit Bharat’

By saying ‘Viksit Bharat’ he was talking about ‘Vikas’ but in a completely different aspect. He announced and asked people to pledge to make India a developed nation in the next 25 years. He also mentioned working towards a developed country and removing any vestiges of colonialism. But also, retain their roots while ensuring unity in diversity.

‘Bhai-Bhateeja’ and  ‘Parivardvadi’ Politics

PM Narendra Modi talked about corruption. “Corruption is eating away at the foundation of India. I want to fight against it. I call upon the 130 crore Indians to help me fight against corruption,” PM Modi said. He said that dynastic politics should end. 

‘Panchpran Pledge’

He gave the vision of the ‘Panchpran Pledge’ the pledge every Indian should imbibe and act on. The pledges included: 1. ‘Viksit Bharat’ (Developed India), 2. Removing every ounce of Gulami (slavery) in us, 3. Work on the pride for our glorious heritage, 4. Ensuring Unity amongst all, 5. Fulfilling our fundamental Duties,” 

Tribal Community to Live & Die for ‘Mathrubhumi’

Bhagwan Birsa Munda, Sidhu-Kanhu, Alluri Sitarama Raju, Govind Guru – there are innumerable names who became the voice of the freedom struggle & inspired the tribal community to live & die for mathrubhumi,” said PM Modi. Covering the fact that now we have our first tribal woman President of India, Droupadi Murmu. 

Lastly, he said that we are ‘Team India’, and this time the government wanted the citizens to participate in the ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ and hence they launched the ‘Harr Ghar Tiranga’ campaign.
