Banks to be closed for 14 days in the forthcoming festive days

September marks the official start of the upcoming festival time in the country, and with that we see a lot of public on the streets and malls purchasing items for the festivities.

However, this year, banks will be closed for 14 days out of 34 days with intervals from 26th Sept’19 to 29th Oct’19. Nonetheless, banks will be closed for 4 days straight in September and October.

To ensure a pleasant festive season and avoid standing in long queues outside ATMs, it is advisable to clear all bank related work before the aforementioned dates as banks and ATMs may witness congestions.

When will be the banks stay closed?

  • 26 and 27 Sept – Bank Strike
  • 28 Sept – 4th Saturday
  • 29th Sept- Sunday
  • 2nd Oct – Gandhi Jayanti
  • 6th Oct – Sunday
  • 8th Oct – Dusshera
  • 12th Oct – 2nd Saturday
  • 13th Oct – Sunday
  • 20th Oct – Sunday
  • 26th Oct – 4th Saturday
  • 27 and 28 Oct – Diwali & New Year
  • 29th Oct – Bhai Dooj
