Regarding the Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC) elections, the BJP has started the process of taking the views of 76 candidates in 19 wards. The process will continue for two days in which the committee is taking the views of aspiring candidates and a list will be prepared after the process is completed.
Rajesh Ayre, who joined BJP from RSP in Election Ward No-9, and his fellow councilors are certain to get tickets. As a result, there is a lot of anger among the BJP office bearers and supporters of Ward No. 9 and on Sunday, about 80 workers, including BJP office bearers, resigned from the party.
There are also fears that the revolt in BJP will intensify in the days leading up to the municipal elections. On the other hand, the BJP is also making efforts to break up the sitting councilors of the Congress, so that there are rumors of a rift in the Congress as well.
