A large number of supporters turned up after the results were declared this morning and nobody maintained social distance, thus, violating the COVID-19 guidelines again. The turnout was 99.49% in the elections held for 7 seats in Baroda Dairy on Monday, after which the counting began this morning on Tuesday. At this time the candidates and their supporters gathered at the spot and violated the social distancing rules. The election process was completed in just one hour and 6 candidates from the BJP-inspired panel were declared victorious.
After the victory of the BJP-inspired panel, a procession was taken out from Sugam Gate to Dairy Gate. It can be said that most of the political party gathering has become synonymous with violating the COVID-19 guidelines. The social distancing rules were openly flouted in this case as the victorious candidates and supporters completely forgot about the coronavirus scare worldwide.
