BKU leader Rakesh Tikait to campaign against farm laws in Gujarat

Rakesh Tikait, a farmer leader who came to meet the farmers’ leaders of Central Gujarat, said that Gujarat belongs to Gandhiji and Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, where peaceful movements have taken place. Now again they will run a peaceful movement to request the government to take back the agricultural laws. Farmers’ land has been handed over to private companies and companies like Amul Dudh will now be ruined.

He further said that now there will be a farmers’ movement in Gujarat and its echo will be heard in Gandhinagar. He said that fear is spreading in the BJP because of them. The farmers in Gujarat and all across the country are losing their lands and soon the movement will start in Gujarat.

He said that besides this, the Kisan Cell of Gujarat Congress has been in support of the leaders of Kisan Andolan for a long time. In the near future, the Gujarat Congress will launch an agitation and a ‘Farmers’ Rights Yatra’ across Gujarat, and take up the issues, problems, and rights of farmers and demand for taking back the laws.

Tikait said that programs would be launched soon to create awareness among farmers across Gujarat and address their issues. Farmers’ organizations have also warned the government that if Rakesh Tikait and the farmers are stopped, there will be aggressive programs in the future.
