A body of a youth was found in a 100-feet deep well in a village today morning after he went missing late at night in Koyli village near Vadodara City. The fire brigade pulled out the body and handed it over to the police.
Om Jadeja, fire officer of Chhani TP 13, said that they received a call came from Koyli village at around 9:00 am that a young man had fallen inside a well. A fire brigade team reached the spot and started the rescue work. After 50 minutes of effort, the team pulled the body out of a 100-feet-deep well and handed it over to Jawahar Nagar police.
As per available details, 21-year-old Kalpesh Kalidas Vasava, a resident of Koyli village, went missing late last night. The search was conducted by family members but they failed to locate him. Meanwhile, the fire brigade was called in the morning after receiving information that Kalpesh’s body was floating in a village well.
Police sent the body for postmortem and began an investigation about the cause of death. The postmortem report will further clarify the matter. Currently, the police have registered a case of accidental death and initiated further action.
