May 14: Nationwide lockdown imposed to prevent the spread of infection of corona virus had kept people from getting out of their homes. Young and loving couples have also been worried about not meeting their partners. A young man from Gujarat walked about 1,300 km to meet his girlfriend living in Varanasi. The girlfriend also ran away from home to meet him. Both were later caught by the police. The interrogation revealed that the love between the two started with a miss call on mobile.

It all began at Mirzamurad police station in Varanasi, when a mother reported the daughter missing. Police began searching by tracing the girl’s mobile number. The girl’s location was found in the Varanasi region of Lanka. When the police reached there, the girl was found with her boyfriend. Upon inquiry, it was found out that the girl’s lover is from Gujarat. The two had already planned to meet but due to the lockdown, he could not come.

One day, he went to meet his girlfriend on foot from Ahmedabad. Here, the girl also got out of the house on Tuesday late evening on a bicycle and reached Lanka to meet her lover who came from Ahmedabad. Even after coming to the police station, the girl insisted on going to the lover. The girl’s mother and family somehow managed to make her understand and took her back home.
