Vadodara Police had detained the husband of a nurse of Gotri hospital. The nurse was found dead at the New VIP road last night. Interrogation is underway by police to know the exact reason behind the incident.
As per the details revealed, Shilpa Patel worked as a nurse in the Hospital for Mental health and was under deputation at Gotri Covid hospital. Last night she was on her way to the hospital on her Activa and after later her body was found at New VIP road. Harni Police was informed about the incident and they reached the spot and started investigating.
Meanwhile, the police had detained her husband for interrogation. In the meantime, the staff of the Hospital for Mental Health and Gotri Covid Center reached the SSG hospital after hearing the news of her death. They demanded strict action against the accused.
After finding the body of Shilpa, a deep injury was found on her head. Teams were formed to investigate and arrest her husband, Jayesh Patel.
The couple used to have frequent quarrels for the last year and they had a heated argument last night before she left for her job. Jayesh followed her in a car from a different road and intercepted her two-wheeler near Saideep Society. He took her in the car and towards an open ground near Panjrapole Highway. Both had a heated argument again and in a fit of rage, Jayesh hit her on the head with a washing paddle and choked her. He then dumped the body in the darkness near New VIP Road.
The Police have arrested the husband and he is being tested for COVID-19.
