Changing Seasons? Changing Skin! Skincare for seasons

As the seasons change from winter to summer, it is important to adjust your skincare routine to accommodate for the varying weather conditions. The harsh, dry winter air can take a toll on your skin, leaving it feeling dry and dull. Meanwhile, the hot, humid summer weather can lead to increased oil production and breakouts. Here are some tips to help you transition your skincare routine smoothly from winter to summer:

Exfoliate

Yes winters are dull, but they make skin more dull and dry, especially if you have dry skin. So to avoid this and changing seasons exfoliate skin twice of thrice a week. It will rejuvenate your skin and remove the winter dead skin. It will leave you feeling refreshed and smooth. There are many homemade DIY recipes to make exfoliate cream, but you can try a gentle scrub or chemical exfoliant, like alpha-hydroxy acids or beta-hydroxy acids, to get the job done.

Hydrate

The dry winter air can dehydrate your skin, leaving it feeling tight and uncomfortable. Hydration is also suggested for clear gut and this clear gut will help you for clear skin. Having seasonal fruits and good juices will help you hydrate your skin more. The internal hydration is more effective than the external hydration done through chemicals. You can also use a humidifier to add moisture to the air in your home. And don’t forget to use a good quality moisturizer, especially one that contains hyaluronic acid, which can help to plump and hydrate your skin.

Lighter Moisturize

The weather switch also asks us to switch the moisturizer. Probably in winters you might feel good with the sticky moisturizer, but as season changes, change your moisturizer, a little lighter one. Heavy creams can feel uncomfortable in the heat and can clog your pores, leading to breakouts. Instead, opt for a lightweight, oil-free moisturizer that will hydrate your skin without feeling heavy.

Face Mist

As refreshing it sounds, these days face mists are in vogue. But selecting an appropriate face mist is more important. They refresh your face and a boost of hydration during the hot summer months. They are also great for setting your makeup and giving your skin a dewy glow. Keep a face mist in your bag and use it throughout the day to refresh your skin.

Sunscreen Lotion

No matter what the season is, to elongate ageing signs, one must use sunscreen lotion to not let those lines appear. The sun’s rays can be harsh and damaging to your skin, especially during the summer months. Make sure to use a broad-spectrum sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or higher every day, even on cloudy days. Apply it to your face and neck, and reapply every two hours if you are spending a lot of time outside.

In conclusion, by following these tips, you can transition your skincare routine from winter to summer, ensuring that your skin stays healthy, hydrated, and glowing all year long. Don’t forget to listen to your skin and adjust your routine accordingly, as everyone’s skin is different and may require different care.
