The VMC and Vadodara police have set up a helpline number to help students and parents combat the stress of the board exams looming ahead. But still, three students have committed suicide in the last four days since the exams have started.
This time, a class 10 student who was reappearing for his exams ended his life. 18-year-old Om Ranjeet Parmar was not very good in social science and maths. He was really worried about the results of his social science paper and was more anxious to give his maths paper.
Parmar jumped into a well near to his residence at Kapurai village just before his exam. His neighbors called a fire brigade as soon as they saw him jump into the well but they reached the spot after it was too late. Om died on the spot because the water in the well was very polluted.
