A VIIIth class student at Navrachana School in Vadodara tested positive for Corona, the school has been given a show-cause warning for not contacting the DEO office.
Offline classroom teaching got halted after a student of VIIth class at Navrachana School in Vadodara’s Sama region tested positive. The school received a notice from the District Education Office (DEO) for failing to notify the office. The administration also sent out a circular to other schools, instructing them to notify parents if any students exhibit symptoms and to run RT-PCR tests as soon as possible to prevent others from becoming sick.
“Last Friday, the student was found to be positive, and routine classes were halted. However, the school was sent with a show-cause notice for failing to notify the District Office, as part of their duty during the pandemic. Other schools have received a circular urging them to notify parents if their children develop symptoms and to conduct an RT PCR test as soon as possible to prevent others from falling ill.” District Education Officer Navneet Mehta stated. He also urges that everyone adhere to the guidelines, use masks, and maintain social distance in crowded areas.
According to the school’s statement issued,” on Sunday, December 12th, 2021, we were told by the parent of one of our children that the student and a family member had tested positive for COVID-19. Offline classes for that class got postponed for four days as a preventive measure and with extreme caution. Online classes, on the other hand, are still offered. The child and his family are doing fine at home, quarantined due to a small infection. There haven’t been any additional cases recorded in the meanwhile. For the safety of its children, staff, and family, the school follows all guidelines and policies on COVID acceptable behavior. At all times, we shall remain vigilant and accountable. “
According to Principal Navrachana Higher Secondary School, Sama, all information requested by VMC officials was delivered by the school.
