In a momentous occasion, CM of Gujarat Bhupendra Patel actively participated in the vibrant and sacred Ganga Dussehra Festival held on the banks of the majestic Narmada River at Chandod, a renowned pilgrimage site nestled in the heart of Vadodara.
The festivities commenced at the famous Malhar Rao Ghat, where CM Bhupendra Patel inaugurated the ten-day celebration by performing the revered aarti of Ganga-Narmada Mata, invoking blessings and divine grace.
The Ganga Dashahra Festival, an annual event that pays homage to the sacred rivers Ganga and Narmada, holds immense significance in Gujarat. The Narmada River, which gracefully flows through Chandod village, is considered the lifeblood of the state. On this auspicious occasion of the first day of the Ganga Dussehra Festival, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel led a magnificent and soul-stirring aarti of Mother Ganga-Narmada, accompanied by the enchanting recitation of Vedic mantras by priests.
The picturesque Malhar Rao Ghat, situated in Dabhoi, Vadodara district, served as the perfect backdrop for the ten-day festivities. Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel actively participated in the festivities, gracing the occasion with his presence and performing the divine aarti of holy Narmada river at the revered Malhar Rao Ghat.
Coinciding with the completion of nine years of PM Modi, the Ganga Dussehra Festival infused an extra layer of auspiciousness. To mark this momentous occasion, a special pooja was conducted by the Brahmin Vrind, adding to the spiritual ambiance and sanctity of the event.
Gangaji, believed to have descended to earth at the sacred Malharrao Ghat, is honoured and revered through the Ganga Dussehra Festival, a tradition that has been upheld for generations. Spanning ten days, this festival witnesses the gathering of thousands of devotees who eagerly partake in the soul-stirring aarti of Narmadaji. The atmosphere becomes permeated with devotion as the chants of Vedic mantras fill the air, creating a deeply spiritual experience for all.
During the program, the esteemed guests were introduced to the Chief Minister’s affable nature and gentle demeanor. Following the grand Maha Aarti, Chief Minister Bhupendrabhai Patel warmly interacted with the present guests, engaging in affectionate conversations, particularly with the children, spreading joy and happiness.
