Collector Atul Gor Takes Action to Remove Encroachments on Government Lands

In a significant move, Collector Atul Gor addressed the District Grievance and Coordination Committee meeting, focusing on the urgent need to remove encroachments on government lands. The meeting, held at the Collector’s office, aimed to resolve various issues raised by public representatives.

During the meeting, Collector Gor emphasized the responsibility of revenue officers and relevant department officials to tackle the encroachments on government lands. He stressed the importance of periodic rotations of officers to identify and address such pressures effectively. Through a systematic and lawful process, these encroachments should be detected and promptly removed.

Furthermore, Collector Gor instructed government officials in the city and district to maintain a proactive approach in their respective offices. They were reminded of their obligation to conduct inspections within the prescribed timeframes as outlined by the state government. This measure aims to enhance the efficiency and accountability of government officials in their day-to-day operations. Additionally, the Collector emphasized the need for expediting departmental inquiries, swift clearance of pension cases for retired employees, and the recovery of government dues.

Public representatives at the meeting highlighted various issues, including the mounting pressure on resources, water supply, healthcare services, urban planning, and road renovations. The concerned officials were directed to address these concerns promptly and ensure effective solutions.

The meeting witnessed the presence of esteemed attendees, including MLA Yogesh Patel, Shailesh Mehta, Manisha Vakil, and Keyur Rokadia. District Development Officer Mamta Hirpara, Superintendent of Police Rohan Anand, and Resident Additional Collector Dr. B. S. Prajapati were also present, reflecting the collective effort to address the challenges faced by the district.
