Surat, a city known for its vibrant community spirit, witnessed a day of meaningful social endeavors on the occasion of the 11th death anniversary of Chhagan Bhagat Vasani. The event was organized by the Swarnim Gujarat Youth Foundation in Surat, led by the dynamic social leader Ghanshyam Birla. Under the collaborative efforts of the foundation and the Dharuka Wala Mahila College, a series of impactful activities were carried out, highlighting the commitment to both environmental consciousness and humanitarian causes.

The day began with a green initiative that saw the participation of students from Dharuka Wala Mahila College. With a deep understanding of the significance of environmental conservation, these students embarked on a tree plantation drive. The Zonal Office of the Corporation at Utaran was adorned with new saplings as these young minds took a pledge to raise awareness about environmental protection.

In alignment with the spirit of giving back, a blood donation camp was also organized at the Dharuka Wala College premises. This noble endeavor aimed to contribute to the much-needed blood supply for medical emergencies. Simultaneously, an eye diagnosis camp was set up, reaffirming the commitment to safeguarding vision and promoting eye health within the community.

The event garnered participation from various dignitaries and prominent figures from Surat. Notable personalities like Nanu Bhai Vekaria, President of the Diamond Association, Nagjibhai Sojitra of Mani Export, Nilesh Libasia, President of GYDC, and other respected individuals from society lent their support. The presence of Badal Birla, expressing heartfelt wishes for the event’s success, added a touch of community involvement and encouragement.

The event was not just a testament to the social initiatives carried out by the foundation and the college but also a representation of the collective spirit of Surat’s residents. Principal Dilip Varsani, along with the dedicated college staff, Minister Dr. Mukesh Padsala, Vice President Dr. Madhukant Gondlia, Trustees Haresh Mangarolia and Babu Vekaria, Ghanshyam Padhra, Poet Suresh Virani, and Mahendra Heerpara, all played significant roles in orchestrating this day of noble efforts.

Through the amalgamation of tree planting, blood donation, and eye diagnosis camps, this event underscored the power of unity and purpose in creating a positive impact within a community. The legacy of Chhagan Bhagat Vasani was honored not just in remembrance but in action, reflecting his commitment to social welfare and community betterment. The day stood as a reminder that a shared effort can bring about meaningful change and elevate the spirit of a city.
