A complaint has been registered in Gorwa Police Station of Vadodara City about a bogus doctor, who visited Gotri COVID-19 hospital and got information about the patients. The persons identified himself as an ex-army doctor to the on-duty staff and left the place after he was asked for an identity card. The Medical Officer lodged a complaint against the stranger at the Gorwa Police Station in this regard.
Dr. Ajit Zaveri has been working as a Resident Medical Officer at Gotri GMERS Hospital, Vadodara for the last four years. On October 19, the Health Department Team from Gandhinagar was about to visit the hospital for inspection, and Dr. Vishala Ben Pandya, Medical Superintendent of Gotri Hospital, gave instructions to all the staff and officers to provide necessary cooperation whenever the team comes to the hospital.
Meanwhile on October 19, at around 5 am, a stranger came wearing a Punjabi turban with a mask over his face. The security guard contacted the doctor on duty, Rupal Shah and during the conversation, he identified himself as Lakshya Preet Singh an ex-army doctor. So the doctors gave information about the patients and he visited the ICU ward and OPD. Meanwhile, the staff asked for his health department identity card but he did not show it and left in his car.
Later the Health Department Team from Gandhinagar came to Gotri Hospital for inspection. When the hospital authorities inquired about this person, they said not to have any such person in their team. After that, a complaint was registered at Gorwa police station. Based on the complaint, the police had registered a case against a man named Lakshyapreet Singh of Vadodara under sections including misuse of a government post and began a search to arrest him.
