From Monday the administration has given conditional approval to the markets in Vadodara City after they were sealed for three days for not following Covid-19 guidelines. The Joint Enforcement Team (JET) has warned that in case of violations they will seal again for three days.
From Saturday, the JETs swung into action at various shops in different parts of the city to check the Covid 19 guidelines are being followed by them or not. The team sealed shops that were not following the guidelines and sent a strict message to everyone.
The team was able to minimize the crowding at different places by their action. OSD Dr. Vinod Rao informed that all JETs are doing excellent work for the last two days and they have succeeded in minimizing crowding in hot-spots this Saturday and Sunday.
Bazaars and markets will however reopen from Monday, as the administration has given conditional approval to them upon their written undertaking to follow all guidelines. “If they violate the guidelines we will again seal them for 3 days”, said Dr. Rao.
The malls and bigger shops sealed will continue to remain sealed till the 3 days period from the date of sealing. Dr. Rao added that all JETs will continue to break this cycle of doubling in the next 10-14 days and keep the City safe.
