Couple commits suicide in Savli by hanging from tree

A couple from Tundav village was found hanging from a neem tree on the outskirts of Paldi village in Savli.

Ranjeet Thakorbhai Nayak and Anjanaben Rajubhai Nayak, who used to live in Tundav village, were in love for a long time and wanted to get married. But their relationship was shunned by their families and relatives because they belonged to the same caste and were from the same village.

The exact reasons for the couple’s suicide pact are not known but the two were found hanging from a neem tree in the outskirts of Paldi village in Savli early morning by villagers. Police are still investigating the reason behind their deaths.
