Due to a cyber attack on the exam portal, MSU Baroda had to suspend the mock test and examination today. While the experts are working on resolving the problem, new dates will be declared soon by the administration.
MSU Baroda was using online platforms to conduct webinars and lectures. The University had launched a new exam portal to conduct the exams online. On Friday night, some professional hackers and agencies tried to hack the portal to access the data of students and teachers but failed to succeed. University’s technical expert foiled the data hacking attempt and lodged a complaint to cybercrime branch for further investigation.
The hackers tried to crash the portal more than once and the students faced difficulty in logging in for their mock-test. But due to excessive load on the site, the students faced the problem of a slow server.
Amid such a situation, the Registrar suspended the mock-tests and exams starting from 5th August till further notice. New dates will be declared soon.
