In a disturbing incident on Wednesday night, Kushwant Ravindrasingh Dhotra was caught near Fatehgunj circle by an on-duty policeman for moving during the curfew hours and violating the rule of Unlock 2.0. He failed to produce any valid reasons for his movement so, a police trainee, Pratik Solanki was asked to take the rider to Fatehgunj Police Station to register a complaint against him.
According to the FIR, Pratik Solanki and the accused were heading towards the police station on a bike, and Pratik Solanki was pillion riding when suddenly Kushwant sped up his vehicle near the Ghelani Petrol Pump on Nizampura Road. The speeding vehicle jumped a speed breaker, which caused the police trainee behind him to fall off, which led to fatal injuries.
In the FIR, it’s further mentioned that a street light mechanic, Mohit Prajapati informed the police that the rider fled from the spot. The police trainee was taken to SSG hospital and later to Neurosurgical hospital at Sunpharma road, where he died during his treatment.
Police registered a case and arrested the accused in the matter.
