Deployment of 400 teachers for door-to-door surveillance

VMC health team will start its second door-to-door surveillance as a part of proactive measure to identify high-risk people. The focus will be on vulnerable population and high-risk areas of Vadodara. OSD Dr Vinod Rao had a detailed meeting with VMC officials. A micro-planning of second door-to-door surveillance was presented in the meeting. 822 teams with around 1,700 staff will complete this in 5 days starting from July 21 to July 25.

Dr Vinod Rao also informed that 400 teachers will be deployed to assist the Health teams. Every PHC will have 10-12 teachers and 40 more teachers will assist in the supervision and coordination of the work.

A meeting was conducted to sensitize all the supervisory teachers a day before the surveillance. Teachers had agreed to be a part of the COVID ARMY and have promised full support.
