Diploma in Information and Communication Technology Course will be initiated in eight Government Polytechnics in the State: Shri Jitubhai Waghan, Education Minister

A total of 3300 academic assistants will be recruited soon and 1300 teaching assistants for grade first to fifth and 2000 teaching assistants for grade sixth to eighth. 

Education Minister Jitubhai Waghan said that under the guidance of Chief Minister Bhupendrabhai Patel, in the interest of the youth of the state, the education department has taken an important decision to start a new course in Diploma in Information and Communication Technology at eight government polytechnics. This decision will help make Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s dream of a Digital India a reality.

The Minister added that in these eight polytechnics, Government Polytechnic-Vadnagar, Dr. JN Mehta Polytechnic-Amreli, LE College (Diploma) -Morbi, AVPTI are included Apart from that, Rajkot, Government Polytechnic-Palanpur, Government Polytechnic for girls Surat, Government Polytechnic-Gandhinagar and Government Polytechnic Ahmedabad for girls have been included.

He further said that the reservation for the percentage for candidates with disability for recruitment in government jobs has been increased from 3 % to 4 %. A necessary administrative process related to the recruitment of Academic / Primary Teacher posts has been completed.

The education minister added that students studying in state colleges will be given a tablet worth Rs 20,000 at Rs. 1000 only by the state government. Due to some technical error, the distribution is delayed, but the EQDC team is working on the problem and soon 50,000 tablets will be made available to the students.
