Team of experts from VMC and District administration visited and verified the healthcare facilities available at Railway Hospital and found the arrangements appropriate for being utilized as a DEDICATED COVID HOSPITAL. The infrastructure is ready to house
50 in-patient beds immediately and can be up-scaled to 100 in-patient beds.
“Apart from GMERS, Gotri and SSG, we are also notifying 50 beds at ESI Hospital Gotri, 50 beds at Infectious Diseases Hospital Karelibagh and 50 beds at Divisional Railway Hospital” said Dr. Vinod Rao OSD
As of 14-06-2020 there are 1524 COVID-19 positive cases reported in Vadodara, 47 deaths. Out of 476 active cases 67 patients are on Oxygen and 26 on ventilator support.
Dr. Brham Prakash, Chief Medical Superintendent, Divisional Railway Hospital is appointed as Nodal Officer and Dr. Krishna Kumar, Additional Chief Medical Superintendent, Divisional Railway Hospital is appointed as Additional Nodal Officer for day to day Management. Medical Officer of Health, VMC will oversee the functioning of the hospital. Reporting will be done on a daily basis to Medical Officer of Health.
