“First Player from Orthopedic Department Secures Spot in Table Tennis at National Level”

Dr. Shailin Shah, a Senior Resident in Orthopedics at SSG Hospital, Vadodara, is set to represent Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda in Table Tennis at the National University Games. Dr. Shah, the first player from his department to achieve this feat, believes that table tennis serves as a relaxation and concentration tool, aiding him in his medical profession.

“I have been playing Table Tennis since I was in 3rd standard. I started the game as a hobby and also played in Khel Mahakumbh and secured second position. During my medical studying days, I continue to play the game as a support system for me, as it gives relaxation and concentration of mind. This is a big chance and more of a responsibility for me as I am the first one from the Orthopaedic department to get chosen for the games,” says Dr. Shah.
