‘Economic Infection’ will surpass the coronavirus infection’: MLA Jitendra Sukhadia

Allow businesses in Orange and Green Zone to open: MLA Jitendra Sukhadia

Sayajigunj MLA Jitendra Sukhadia has written a letter to CM Vijay Rupani suggesting to give relaxation in Orange and Green zones after 17th May.

In the letter, he stated that ‘Economic Infection’ will surpass the ‘coronavirus infection’. After lockdown 3.0, Malls, Theaters, Gardens, Sports complexes, Educational institutes, and Religious-political gatherings should be barred and the small businesses and industrial estates should be allowed to operate from 18th May. Curfew from 7:00 p.m to 7:00 a.m should continue because the people of Vadodara are now self-aware about the precautionary measures and the police department is doing a commendable job in the implementation of the lockdown.

MLA has also raised the issue of cleanliness and facilities at SSG and GMERS hospital, where COVID-19 patients are admitted. He draws the attention of CM regarding the ignorance of the company handling the contract of housekeeping. He suggested that wards treating COVID-19 patients should be under CCTV surveillance and its live-streaming should be linked to CM’s dashboard for monitoring.

He further added that more private hospitals should be given permission to treat COVID-19 patients at minimal profits. This will help to reduce the burden on government hospitals. Treatment rates should be decided by Government, as currently private hospitals are charging more than 7-star hotel rooms. Testing in Vadodara should be doubled to help the tracing of the virus so that the hosts can be isolated.Letter to Vijay rupani by Vadodara MLA

More isolation wards will be needed in the future, and M.O.U should be done with hotels to help the administration increase the isolation ward capacity.
