An elderly woman was looted at knifepoint by a couple in a car in broad daylight today as she made her way back from the temple to her house. An elderly woman, Kantaben, was walking back home from her visit to the temple alone in broad daylight when a couple in a car passing by stopped her and asked her the directions to a person’s house.
When she said she didn’t know, they insisted she got into the car with them. After she got into the car, the couple drove her around and then took her to a secluded area where they wielded a knife on her and asked her to give her gold ornaments. After this, they gave her Rs 100 and dropped her off in an unknown area. Kantaben called for help and alerted the police of the crime. The police are still investigating the crime.
