Employment and guidance can avert unrest

A prominent psychologist, Dr VS Ravindran was recently in Tejas Vidyalaya for an interactive session with parents where he talked about the importance of having proper guidance and jobs among youths.
He was called to Jammu and Kashmir in the 1990s by the government to address the youth on the importance of finding employment through proper counselling. He added, “If young men are provided guidance and jobs, there will be no unrest in the state.”
The problem of social and political unrest can be averted by providing schemes and programmes by the government. Other states must also enforce proper laws for giving employment to young men and women.
Dr VS Ravindran is also been associated with Delhi and Kerala police departments and believes that cops need to be taught counselling. He added, police can use counselling skills instead of their practices for solving different problems.
