Factory used for making duplicate Remdesivir busted by Crime Branch

Near Raghavpura, a factory was busted by the Vadodara Crime branch, which was making duplicate Remdesivir injections. The team arrested the accused and declared one as wanted. They also seized stickers, boxes and injection bottles from the place.

On Wednesday the team arrested five persons for black marketing of injections and seized 90 Remdesivir injections from their possession. During interrogation the team came to know that accused Jatin Patel got the injections stock through Naeemben Vora from Vivek Maheshwar. Investigating further the team came to know that Vivek kept the consignment at a godown in Raghavpura.

Police reached the spot and seized the duplicate Remdesivir injection stickers, boxes and are further investigating. The accused used stickers of  Hetro Covifor Injection on Peperaciliin Tazobactam injection bottles and Jubi R Remedisivir Injection stickers on Terrific SB injections bottles and packed them in boxes.Police arrested further two – Vivek Maheshwar, resident of Vadodara and Naeemben Vora from Anand and declared Nitesh Joshi from Ahmedabad as wanted. During investigation police found Nitesh Joshi as the main person to provide Remdesivir injection bottles, box and stickers.

Police seized bottles of Terrific-SB, Peperacillin Tazobactam, Hetro Covifor Injection and Jubi R Remdisivir Injections, empty boxes of Hetro Covifor Injection, stickers of Hetro Covifor and Jubi R Remdisivir Injections. Further investigation is on in the matter.
