Father killed son over an arguement on food in Vadodara

A quarrel between father- son over a meal in Navi Nagri in Kotambi village in Waghodia lead to a cruel ending on Friday. In a fit of rage the father killed his sleeping 25-year-old son by cutting his throat with an axe by hitting him four to five times and fled from the spot. Waghodia police have registered the case and are further investigating.

As per details, Kailasben Kanubhai Parmar lives with family in Navi Nagri area of Kotambi village in Waghodia taluka in Vadodara district. She has one daughter and two sons her husband Kanubhai works as a laborer to support the family. Late in the evening on Friday Kailasben was present at the home with husband Kanubhai and both sons Raju and 25-year-old Rakesh.

At around 8 pm, Rakesh and Kanubhai had an argument over food and quarreled about it. Rakesh kicked his father Kanubhai two or three times and later all went to sleep. However, enraged Kanubhai hit his sleeping son in the neck late at night four to five times with an axe.

The mother, who was sleeping nearby, woke up found out her son killed by her husband and she started crying. Kanubhai then goes out of the house telling her to go and sleep. Seeing the body of his son lying in a pool of blood, Kailasben informed people around and Village Sarpanch about the incident.

Meanwhile, Sarpanch informed Waghodia police about the incident. A team rushed to the spot and sent the body of 25-year-old Rakesh to Jarod Referral Hospital for postmortem. Also, the police searched for the killer father Kanubhai Bharatbhai Parmar and arrested him within hours.
