Fire break out at agarbatti manufacturing company in Makarpura

A huge fire broke out early in the morning at an agarbatti manufacturing company in Makarpura GIDC in Vadodara city. As the flames spread, the fire brigade was called. No casualties reported as nearly 15 vehicles were pressed into action to control the fire.

As per available details, a huge fire broke out in a company called Shreeji Agarbatti Works in Makarpura GIDC around 4 am. Troops rushed to the spot after the fire was reported to Makarpura GIDC Fire Brigade. They declared it as a major call and nearly 15 vehicles were dispatched from all fire stations and pressed into action to control the fire. About 35 personnel, including fire brigade sub-fire officers, were deployed to contain it.

According to the fire brigade, the fire broke out at Pooja Engineering Company located at Plot No. 730 in Makarpura GIDC and it spread to Shreeji Agarbatti Works, which is into the production of incense sticks.

Being an incense sticks company the flames spreads dangerously and thick smoke was seen in the area. GEB teams also rushed to the spot along with a police convoy to help the fire brigade in controlling the fire.

The exact cause of the early morning fire at Makarpura GIDC is not known, but it is believed to be caused by a short circuit. No casualties were reported in the fire and the troops are taking the help of modern types of equipment and water to extinguish the flames.
