Former Corporator of Padra allegedly accused for rape, arrested

Local Crime Branch Vadodara rural arrested the rape accused involved in crime at Sokhadakhurd village which comes in the jurisdiction of Padra police station. The team arrested the accused from Jaipur and further investigation is going on in the matter.

The accused Bhavesh Alias Lalo Chandrakant Patel allegedly raped the girl in his car under the pretext of dropping her home. Based on the girl’s complaint, the police have registered a case against the accused under sections including rape and assault.

However ,the accused had fled and police launched a manhunt to arrest him. Many offence of prohibition and others are registered against him in the past. The investigation was handed over to Local Crime Branch and formed different team to arrest the accused.

After questioning his associates and with the help of informers the police were informed that the accused fled from Gujarat and hence the teams were dispatched to Mumbai and Jaipur. The team soon received the information and arrested the accused from Jaipur and brought him to Local Crime Branch office for remand procedure.

The team is getting his medical check up done and are collecting scientific and other evidences. The accused fled to Jaipur so the team is further investigating about the vehicle which was used, who helped him and also to seize the vehicle of the crime.
