On Thursday, March 19th, Vadodara observed a wedding in the midst of Coronavirus pandemic.
This wedding took place outside their house on Waghodia road with around 300 guests who had come to attend the wedding from different parts of India and USA. As a precautionary measure, face masks and sanitizers were given to each and every guest to protect themselves. Even the bride and groom wore masks during the entire wedding rituals, not caring about how their wedding pictures would turn out to be like.
The wedding could not be postponed to another date as it was already postponed once in the past due to the unavailability of bride’s sister. The sister lives in USA and happened to have visa issues in the past which restricted her from attending the wedding on the fixed initial date of the wedding.
The families who were a part of this whole wedding do have a realization about the temporary prohibition on large social gatherings, but they also believe that they took all the precautionary measures needed to be taken in such a situation.
