Tested positive for Covid-19, a girl arrived from London, was ready to see her maternal grandparents in Mahapura village, on the outskirts of Vadodara, when she was tested positive at Ahmedabad airport. Her samples were submitted to Pune for Omicron virus testing after she was admitted to Karamsad Medical College Hospital.
Dr. Surendra Jain, Vadodara’s Chief District Health Officer, said that receiving the information, a team of district doctors was promptly deployed to Mahapura village. She got admitted to Karamsad hospital as per protocol, and her status is stable. The issue is being continuously monitored by the medical team. Her maternal parents, who live in Mahapura village, were admitted to the same hospital for other ailments.
