Google to our rescue for decoding Doctor’s handwriting

Who has trouble reading prescriptions written by doctors?

Yes, almost everyone has faced difficulties in this particular situation. Even it is doubted that, can doctor read their own hand-written prescriptions? Well, no one wants to be a bad guy by guessing this answer.

Doctors, health professionals mostly write in rush as they work for long hours but for the patients it is a quite task to understand the writing and reading the names of medicines or other precautions. But we don’t have to worry about this anymore. Because as always, Google is at our rescue by announcing their new an Artificial Intelligence (AI) to help us decode doctor’s bad handwriting.

At the Google for India 2022, event held on December 19, Google announced an Artificial Intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) model which will highlight and identify the medicines written in doctor’s prescriptions. Although this feature is currently under development. Google said that it is under-work tofind out the ways to identify and understand the bad hand-writing on doctor’s prescriptionby working with the pharmacists.

This feature can be used by either taking picture of prescription or uploading picture from the photo gallery. After uploading Google app will identify the medicines mentioned in the prescription.

So easy and cool, right?
