Sometimes you are all alone at home, listening to Bruno Mars’s “Lazy Song” and purely empathizing with the entire lyrics. All you want to do is just lie somewhere down, stare at the sky and just do nothing. In real sense, NOTHING. That is when this restaurant comes to my rescue. Located between Nizampura and Channi Jakat Naka, Green City is definitely a savior for those who crave for non- vegetarian food, like me.
All this while I just had a number, who would deliver really delicious food, when my mother or I had no intention to sweat our energies off in cooking. So one fine day, (i.e. yesterday), my Mom and I decided to personally go, relish and have a feast in a restaurant which was all this while just a mystery angel sort of a savior. After a mere 10 minutes drive from my home, I saw a small garden restaurant, with all the surrounding trees lit up in green. The floor was green, the walls were green, in short, I had too much green around me which is definitely not good, because I am not fond of the particular color. But as soon as I entered the main gates of this restaurant, I saw a small counter on the left, and rectangular tables in a two row arrangement, which was monotonous according to me, the decor isn’t that appealing, but as far the location and pricing is concerned, that can be neglected.
As soon as we took our seats, the waiters were prompt enough in their service, so it took us very little time to choose from the varieties. I am a Kadhai Chicken fan and that is what I had been ordering all this while, but this time we thought to try something different. For starters, we had Tandoori Chicken, main course was delighted by Tangdi Masala and Butter Naan, and my any meal is incomplete without a drink so I ordered a sweet lassi to accompany my meal! Soon arrived the starter, Tandoori Chicken, the wholesome, red, spiced, and platter- full, roasted chicken, and I can bet, they were the best I had in this city. But then soon arrived the Tangdi Masala, the gravy was somehow quite tasty, but the chicken, it tasted familiar, REALLY familiar, soon I realized that it was just the tandoori chicken I had a few minutes ago, because we were there regular yet anonymous customer, we decided to try another delicacy, so we ordered Chicken Kolhapuri, but soon came to our notice that it again tasted exactly the same, just the gravy was different and no doubt, delicious.
Naan was just like it should be, fluffy, moist and with perfect amount of fresh butter.
The best part of eating in this particular restaurant was the reasonable pricing. Our total bill, which consisted of full plate Tandoori Chicken, Chicken Kolhapuri, Tangdi Masala, Butter Naans and Sweet Lassi. And I just shed Rs. 450 from my pocket.
Definitely a must taste restaurant if you do not keep in mind the ambiance!
