Guilty Pleasure? A man sues Madhya Pradesh government Rs 10,000 crore in damages

‘Loss of sexual pleasure’: Found guilty in a gang-rape case, a man sues the MP government for Rs 10,000 crore in damages

After being vindicated of gang-rape accusations, a man from Madhya Pradesh’s Ratlam has claimed compensation from the state government for “suffering and mental pain” caused by his imprisonment, which drove his family to the edge of hunger. According to his appeal, the guy has requested Rs 2 lakh in compensation for “loss of God’s gift to humanity, e.g. sexual pleasure” out of the Rs 10,006.02 crore total. Kantu, alias Kantilal Bheel (35), approached the district and sessions court after a municipal court dismissed the gang rape accusations on October 20, 2022, according to his counsel Vijay Singh Yadav.

On January 10, his lawsuit against the MP government and the investigators will be heard. When asked about the massive compensation, Yadav stated that Rs 10,000 crore was requested because “human life is important,” while the remaining Rs 6.02 crore is for different reasons, including legal expenditures of Rs 2 lakh, emotional pain and suffering by his family.

Bheel stated in his plea that he was the sole earner for his family when he was detained in the gang rape case on December 23, 2020. Bheel, according to Yadav, cared after his mother, wife, and three children. Yadav stated that his client has requested Rs 10,006.02 crore in damages, alleging mental distress and suffering to him and his family as a result of the false gang-rape claims.

Bheel’s family was on the edge of starvation while he was away, he claimed. According to Yadav, a lady filed a complaint against Bheel at Manasa police station on July 20, 2018, and accused him of raping her under the pretence of dropping her off at her brother’s house. According to the lawyer, she said Bheel passed her over to another individual who raped her for six months before letting her go. Bheel was arrested and imprisoned for over two years as a result of the accusation. Is it conceivable that the guy had to sue the government because he was guilty and was falsely convicted, resulting in the hunger of his family and seeking a lump amount of money and separately demanding Rs 2 lakh for being deprived of ‘sexual pleasure’?
