Gujarat Lockdown till 31st March

Today Gujarat DGP Shivanad Jha announced in a press conference that amid the CoronaVirus outbreak entire Gujarat will be in complete lockdown till 31st March.

– State borders will be sealed, all the vehicular movements are banned, only transportation of essential commodities
– These facilities will remain open: Medical stores, Grocery shops, Fruits and Vegetables shop and other daily essential commodities shops.
– Taxi, S.T Buses, Private buses, Autorickshaws are banned
– Only two people are allowed to travel in 2 wheeler and 4 wheeler
– DGP has appealed for the support from people of Gujarat
– Every police station has to ensure the complete lockdown is implemented.
– Strict action will be taken against the individual not following the orders
– For effective implementation of the Lockdown, special SRPF & RAF force will be deployed.

– Till not 62 FIRs done for violation of the public circular of Lockdown
– FIR under IPC 269,270,271 against people who didn’t follow Quarantine guidelines.
