In a major operation near the international maritime border, 56 kg of drugs worth Rs 280 crore were seized. Gujarat Anti-Terrorist Squad carried out a major operation with the help of the Indian Coast Guard. Pakistani boat Al-Hajj carrying heroin worth Rs 280 crore was seized. According to the information received, a boat named Al-Hajj was coming from Karachi, and nine accused have been arrested along with drugs being investigated. A press conference was organized where DGP Ashish Bhatia informed about the ‘Surgical Strike of Drugs’. The ATS had the information and then they conducted the operation. Indian Coast Guard help was sought and the operation began three days ago. They carried out the operation in collaboration with the local Intelligence Bureau, where 56kgs of heroin worth Rs. 280 crores were seized from nine accused who have been arrested.
