Happiness at a mere Rs 10

This Diwali will be extra special for the underprivileged background people of the city as they’ll be able to buy products at just Rs 10.
The noble cause is organised by a city-based NGO, Ananta Charitable Trust. They are organising ‘Khushiyo nu kabaat’ (Cupboard of happiness) where they will be setting up pop-up retail at the end of this month where beneficiaries can buy toys, sports equipment, clothes, footwear, bags, household items and stationery among other things. All the objects will be available at just Rs 10 and the items will be on sale which has been lying unused for long.
In order to make it accessible for the collection of items, they’ve placed drums at prominent cafes, restaurants, clubs, and stores in the city where citizens can donate their unused items till October 21. Then the items will be taken to the NGO where sorting will take place. They would be packed and repaired to give them a new look.
The sale will be held at Akota Atithi Gruh on October 28 where 51000 products will be on sale. The same kind of sale was conducted by the NGO in 2017 but on a smaller scale.
Adding to that, the trustees have said that the unsold items would be sold to construction workers and neighboring Panchmahal at a token amount of Re 1. The money collected will be used for sponsoring education for 95 children who left studies due to the shortage of money.
