Children need a safe space no matter where they are. In an attempt to ensure that, Vadodara Police Department is developing a corner for the children. In a special drive, the department has initiated a project to make police stations child-friendly, especially for the children of the women personnel. The National Commission for Protection of Child Rights guidelines is being followed.
On Friday, DGP Ashish Bhatia on his visit to Vadodara inaugurated a child-friendly corner at the Harni Police Station. In Vadodara city, Bapod Police Station already has such a corner, while one is being built at Warasia Police Station.
These child-friendly corners will have a colorful setup with toys and other amenities for the kids to enjoy.
The child-friendly corners are also meant for juveniles, children of applicants, or the missing children that are found.
