Indraprastha Kitchen’s Free Buttermilk Distribution Helps Beat the Heat in Vadodara

Vadodara residents are currently experiencing a scorching heat wave, with many avoiding leaving their homes during the hottest parts of the day. However, one unique initiative is helping to provide some respite from the heat. Indraprastha Foundation’s “Indraprastha’s Kitchen” is distributing 600 liters of buttermilk daily from their revolving kitchen, completely free of charge.

The kitchen was launched by Indraprastha Foundation, also known as Indraprastha Yuvak Mandal, with the goal of serving food for just five rupees to people in need. Starting from April 3rd, 2022, the revolving kitchen has been providing food to those who need it, as well as to relatives of patients admitted in the hospital near Gotri GMERS hospital every Sunday. In addition, the kitchen uses eco-friendly dishware and aims to spread social messages with its various initiatives.

Tarang Shah, a member of Indraprastha Foundation, stated that the kitchen is currently preparing 600 liters of buttermilk every day and distributing it to nearly 1000 people, including those who happen to be passing by. This free distribution center began operating on April 1st and will continue to operate for two months, with the aim of providing some relief from the scorching heat. Additionally, the water jug service, which was launched by the foundation, is refilled three times daily and provides much-needed drinking water to patients and their relatives.

The foundation’s initiatives have received immense appreciation from the community, with people expressing gratitude for their efforts to help others during such a difficult time. This initiative has provided a ray of hope for people in Vadodara, as they battle the sweltering heat.

In conclusion, Indraprastha Foundation’s “Indraprastha’s Kitchen” is a shining example of how a small initiative can make a significant impact on a community. By providing free buttermilk and drinking water to those in need, the foundation has demonstrated its commitment to serving the community and promoting social responsibility. The foundation’s efforts have been praised and serve as an inspiration for others to follow in their footsteps.
