He just wished and Vadodara Police fulfilled it: 10 year old boy becomes Police Inspector for a day

Lakhan (name changed), a 10 year old fatally-ill kid, fulfilled his only wish to become a Police Officer with the help of Vadodara Police and Make-A-Wish Foundation.

The young police inspector took over the J.P. Road Police Station for today and completed all the duties of a police officer for the day. Lakhan was dressed up in his khakee uniform and performed a roll call, checked the station diary and also took follow ups with officers and inspectors on the on-going cases.

Lakhan’s passion to join the police force reflected in his gleaming eyes. While he completed his responsibilities at the station, he interacted with other officers personally and also took a stroll by the lock-up. In his little time at the station, the young inspector carried out brief patrolling in the area.

Vadodara Police heartwarming act has left the terminally-ill kid overjoyed with the entire experience.

Make-A-Wish Foundation started in India in 1996 and have since fulfilled wishes of 22,500 children aged from 3 to 17. The Ahmedabad division of the foundation got in touch with Lakhan, who has been fatally-ill since birth, and fulfilled his long standing wish to be the one in command and serve others.
