Kamatibaug, Ajwa Dam & MS University, Vadodara got it today

Today when we look back in the history of Vadodara, 8th January is an importa date to be noted

Why?

1) Sayajirao Gaekwad dedicated Kamatibaug known as Sayajibugh was dedicated to public on 8th Jan 1879. Sayajibugh is believed to be India’s one of the biggest gardens.

2) On 8th Jan 1879 Maharaja Sayajirao laid foundation of Baroda College now known as Maharaja Sayajirao University which was once among top 10 universities of India.

3) On 8th January 1885 the construction of Sayaji Sarovar at Ajwa began, ceremony was performed by Lady Watson.
